Re-enrolment
By law, your workplace must check if you qualify to be in a pension every three years and re-enrol you if you do. They must do this even if you've asked to stop paying into your account before. But, you will get a chance to stop paying into your account again, if you want to.

See all support for membersOur dedicated page will give you the details you need to stop paying in to your pension.
You can stop paying into your now:pensions account at any time. But, if it’s been more than a month since you were enrolled, you won’t get your payments back. Your pension savings will stay invested until you retire and start to take your money, or you transfer your pension savings out to another pension.
Your workplace pays in to your pension as well as you. If you stop paying in, your workplace stops paying in too. So you lose the extra money they pay in.
If you don’t pay into your pension, you miss out on tax relief, which is extra money from the government.
And you’ll miss out on building up any more pension savings for your future.
Your pension savings always belong to you. They stay in now:pensions and we carry on looking after them. They’ll stay invested until you retire and start to take your money, or you transfer your pension savings out to another pension provider.
You’re still a member of now:pensions. You have full access to your now:pensions account and the money in it belongs to you. You can carry on using now:u to manage your pension savings. For example, you can choose a different planned retirement age, or change who you want to pass your savings on to when you die.
Charges will carry on coming out of your pension savings. Read more about our costs and charges.
Yes, you can start paying in again at any time. If you have to stop paying in for a while, have a plan to start paying in again as soon as you can afford to.
