If you’ve never logged in to your now:pensions account before
Go to the now:u start page and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your account. We’ve listed the steps for this in our guide.

If you’re logged in to now:u but don’t do anything for 20 minutes, you’ll see a message asking if you want to stay logged in. This is to keep your now:pensions account and your personal details safe.

To stay logged in, you need to reply to that message within 10 minutes. Otherwise, you’ll be automatically logged out to protect your now:pensions account.

The only time this won’t happen is if you’re a workplace user processing large pension data files.

If you’re details aren’t working, or you don’t know them, our guide can you help you find a solution.

now:u is designed to work with most payroll software.

You need to submit accurate data to make sure you meet your auto enrolment duties by The Pensions Regulator’s deadlines, so it’s essential your payroll software can handle the requirements of auto enrolment. Ask your payroll department or payroll software provider what systems they have to deal with auto enrolment, including assessing and communicating with workers.

Your duties start date is the date you first employ someone – even if it’s only one person. This is the date from which your legal duties under auto enrolment apply.
