Michaël De Lathauwer, Non-Executive Chairman

Michaël is CEO of the Cardano Group. Before joining Cardano in 2015, Michaël spent 23 years at Goldman Sachs and was elected a partner at Goldman Sachs in 2002. In the last six years of his career at Goldman Sachs he was responsible for the Pension and Insurance Solutions Group.

Patrick Luthi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

CEO of NOW: Pensions since June 2019, Patrick is a member of the Cardano Group Management Board where he is responsible for finance. He joined Cardano in 2015 as Group CFO responsible for finance, operations and technology. Patrick brings a wealth of management experience from a career in finance spanning more than 20 years.

Claire Bowyer, Deputy CEO

Claire is Deputy CEO of NOW: Pensions, responsible for the commercial, investment and governance aspects of the business.  She is also responsible for our people and has a particular interest in diversity and inclusion. Claire sits on the Group Board and continues to be a Group Partner and the Group’s General Counsel. Prior to joining NOW: Pensions in January 2023, Claire was responsible for leading the client team of Cardano Investment, UK. She joined Cardano in 2009 and before that was a senior lawyer at Travers Smith.

Fiona Page, Non-Executive Director

Fiona has founded three successful businesses including Quadrant Capital, an asset management company, and RiskFirst, a fintech business providing risk analytics to the UK and US pension industries.

Paul Smee, Non-Executive Director

Paul is a board member of the Regulator of Social Housing and member of the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission. From 2011 to 2017, Paul was Director General of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, later merging into UK Finance. He ran the Association for Payment Clearing Services (APACS) and set up the UK Payments Council from 2005-2011. He was the first Director General of the Association of Independent Financial Advisors from 1999-2004.
