Your primary contact
You must have a primary contact for your now:pensions account. They have full access to your workplace account and are the go-to person for questions. The primary contact can be you or someone else.
You add your primary contact’s name, email address, job title and department when you’re setting up your workplace pension. If the primary contact is someone other than you, they’ll get an invitation to set themselves up on now:u. They’ll be able to use the full functionality of now:u, including uploading pension data files and adding, removing and updating members’ details.
Changing your primary contact
Log in to now:u and go to Organisation settings – Manage users – Edit primary contact.
This is for updating an existing primary contact’s details – for example, if they’ve changed their name or contact details.
If you want to change your primary contact to a different person, go to Replace primary contact.
Adding workplace users
Log in to now:u and go to Organisation settings – Manage users. Choose Add users, fill in the user’s details and choose what access level you want to give them.
- Full access: they can manage everything on your behalf, including adding new users to your workplace account.
- General access: they can manage everything on your behalf, except adding new users to your workplace account.
- Read-only access: they can see your workplace account but not take any action on your behalf.
They’ll get an invitation to set themselves up on now:u. Once full and general-access users have set up their accounts, they’ll be able to:
- set up and change bank account details
- change contribution models
- change your workplace’s participation agreement with now:pensions.
Important
Please check your workplace users’ contact details are correct. As soon as you send an invite to a user you want to give full or general access to, they’ll start receiving all your workplace’s emails. This happens even if they haven’t accepted the invite or finished setting up now.u.
When you send your user an invite, it can take up to 24 hours for their account set-up email to arrive. By sending the invite, you agree:
- you’ve read the information above
- you’re happy for your workplace user to have the rights that go with their role, and
- the workplace user can act on behalf of your workplace to take the actions that go with their role.
Changing your workplace users
Log in to now:u and go to Organisation settings – Manage users.
You’ll see a list of your workplace users and their access levels. You can add or delete users, or change their access levels.
