NOW: Pensions, the independent multi-employer trust, today announces the appointment of Jocelyn Blackwell to its Board of Trustee Directors.

Ms Blackwell is a well-known figure in the pensions industry. She founded Dunnett Shaw in 1987, a management consultancy that specialised in advising clients on pension administration processes, systems and outsourcing. The business merged with Higham Group in 2005 to form Higham Dunnett Shaw, which was sold to Capita in 2007.

Jocelyn was also the founder of the industry-wide body Raising Standards in Pensions Administration (now PASA) and chaired it for four years. She was the winner of the “First Woman of Finance Award” in 2005. She is currently Non-Executive Director at Inside Pensions, a specialist firm that provides independent scheme secretarial services to trustee boards.

Jocelyn will replace Imelda Walsh who asked to step down from the Board at the beginning of 2014 due to other commitments.
Nigel Waterson, Chair of Board of Trustees, NOW: Pensions comments: Jocelyn is a widely known and well regarded figure in the pensions industry. As auto enrolment gathers momentum, her practical and broad experience will add a valuable dimension to our role of looking after the interests of members.”

Waterson continues:“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Imelda Walsh for her considerable contribution to the board. Her HR expertise and knowledge of large firms was invaluable in the initial stages of auto enrolment and we wish her well for the future.”

Jocelyn Blackwell comments: “Over a short period of time, NOW: Pensions has established itself as a respected and credible player in the UK workplace pensions market attracting thousands of employers and hundreds of thousands of members. Joining the team at such a crucial time in the company’s growth is an exciting prospect.”
