Cardano Group to acquire NOW: Pensions

We are delighted to announce that the Cardano Group has agreed to acquire NOW: Pensions Limited from the Danish Pensions Provider, ATP.

The acquisition is subject to NOW: Pensions receiving master trust authorisation from The Pensions Regulator which is expected later this year.

The Cardano Group is a pensions risk and investment management specialist with operations in the UK and the Netherlands. Since foundation in 2000, it has built a strong business employing 230 people and managing over £24 billion on behalf of household names, including GSK, AstraZeneca and E.ON.

NOW: Pensions’ Trustee Directors are working closely with ATP and Cardano to ensure a smooth and safe transition for our members and it’s very much business as usual.

One change that we anticipate being made shortly - subject to completion of due diligence by the Trustee - is the transfer of investment management from NOW: Pensions Investments in Denmark to Cardano’s highly experienced, UK-based investment management team.

Looking ahead, we’re delighted to announce that Cardano will continue to make investments to improve customer service and experience across the business.

In the short video below, Mickey De Lathauwer, Co-CEO of Cardano and Troy Clutterbuck, CEO of NOW: Pensions explain a bit more about the acquisition and the plans Cardano has to build on the success of NOW: Pensions.

NOW: Pensions has a good technical infrastructure combined with a pension product suitable for our team. We couldn’t be happier with NOW: Pensions.
