How much time is needed to set up a scheme to meet a staging date?

This depends on whether you have decided on your plan structure (i.e. contributions and postponement) and set up your payroll system.  The process can be very short, however we would normally recommend three months to ensure that everything has been considered and organised in order to help prevent any issues down the line.

You can find your auto enrolment staging date using our staging date calculator.
