Is it possible to create the CSV file manually if my payroll software is not compatible?

Yes it is possible to use excel to create a spreadsheet and save this as a CSV file. It should be noted that this is not ideal and great care needs to be taken to ensure that the data is complete and meets the file requirements as shown in the “Guide to the generic input file.”
