Morten Nilsson, Chief Executive of NOW: Pensions, said: “The aim of our films is to facilitate discussion around the pros and cons of the state of the industry in a humorous and original way, whilst highlighting the simplicity, clarity and transparency the market so desperately needs. There is currently a great deal of confusion around pensions and we believe the whole industry needs a bit of a shake-up – we hope that humour
will make pensions interesting at last!”

The films, produced in Denmark and directed at the whole UK pensions industry, focus on the truth about pensions, and address a host of issues on the agenda in the run-up to auto-enrolment including lack of transparency, excessive charging, and the importance of clarity and simplicity.

Nilsson continued: “Everyone deserves the right to a better pension, and as auto-enrolment fast approaches it is more important than ever for UK employees to have a greater understanding on the importance of saving for retirement. We believe simplicity and transparency are key to ensuring members understand their pensions and the impact costs can have on savings. Keeping it simple means it is easy to understand, costs are kept down and better income is generated upon retirement.”
